Seeding a Tomato the Simple Way
- First you will start off by washing the tomato. Dry it with a paper towel. Turn it on its side and cut off the bottom of the tomato. Then place it with cut facing downward or resting on the cutting board. The top part of the cutting board should be facing up.Lift the tomato up just a tiny bit. Then start to cut off the top part of the tomato on an angle, not straight across. By cutting the tomato this way, you are helping to separate the outer part of the tomato from the core.
- Next thing you are going to do is the cut away all of the outside of the tomato, leaving only the middle or core, which you are going to throw away or use in another recipe.
