Mickey & Minnie Cookies with Donald & Daisy
No one can forget the magic of Disney, and those that like to bake often serve their family and friends food and desserts that taste magical. Well, this Halloween dress up Mickey & Minnie in costumes to make others think that they are Donald & Daisy. Okay, enough fooling we all know that these two are fictional characters…………but we can still have some fun baking these Mickey & Minnie Cookies with Donald & Daisy.
Ingredients
5 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups soft unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
Royal Icing Recipe
Mickey & Minnie Icing Ingredients
2 egg whites
1 cup powder sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Black, yellow, red & pink gel food coloring
Royal Icing Recipe
Mickey & Minnie as Donald & Daisy Icing Ingredients
2 egg whites
1 cup powder sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Black, blue,yellow, red & purple gel food coloring
Cookie Cutters

Cookie Directions
Cream the soft butter with the sugar until the combination is smooth not grainy to the touch in a mixing bowl.
Add all 4 eggs at one time. Continue to mix.
Add the vanilla. Continue mixing.
Sift the four, baking powder, and salt together.
Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture.
Continue mixing to make sure all ingredients are thoroughly blended.
Make the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling wrap completely covering the entire dough ball.
Put in the refrigerator for about 6 hours or overnight. Check to see if the dough is firm.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Pull the cookie dough out of the refrigerator and sit it out to soften up a bit.
Put flour out on the wood cutting board, rub flour on the rolling pin, and work some flour into
the batter. (if needed)
Roll the dough out on the cutting board and using the plaque cookie cutter begin to make your cookies.
Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Using a metal spatula move the cut cookies to the parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes. Check to see if the cookies are thoroughly baked.
Take the cookies off of the cookie sheet and put on a wire rack to cool completely. About 10 mins.
Mickey & Minnie Icing Directions
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl mixing on medium speed for 4 minutes. (except your food coloring)
If icing is not stiff enough add 1/4 C powder sugar.
Take out 2 TBSP of icing add several drops of yellow gel food coloring. Stir to mix.
Take out 4 TBSP of icing, keeping it white. Divide the remaining icing between 2 bowls.
The first bowl add several drops of black gel food coloring. Stir to blend.
Divide the other half into two separate bowls. In one bowl add several drops of red gel food coloring, stir to blend.
In the second half add several drops of pink gel food coloring, stirring to mix well.
Add several drops of black gel food coloring in the second large bowl of icing. Stir well to mix the color.
Spoon each color of icing into individual frosting bags with a #5 tips. Twist the open end of the bag to push the icing to the tip.
Icing Directions
Black & Red Mickey
Outline each of the Mickey cookies in black. Allow to dry for about 30 seconds before filling in the cookie. Fill in the top and bottom of the cookies in with the black thinner icing.* Allow to dry for about 30 seconds.
*Squeeze the half of the black of the icing into a bowl then add 1 tsp of water to this and mix it in.
Leave the rest of the icing in the frosting bag for later use on the cookies.
Following the black & red Mickey’s picture as an outline, draw Mickey’s two gold buttons with a Wilton Foodwriter.
Outline the buttons in the black icing and fill them in with yellow icing. Allow for the buttons to dry for 30 seconds.
Fill in Mickey’s pants in red then after 30 seconds for drying outline entire Mickey again in the black icing.
Allow these cookies to dry from 5-10 hours
Black & Pink Minnie
Outline each of the Minnie cookies in black . Allow to dry for about 30 seconds. before filling in the top part of the with the thinner icing. cookie. Fill in the top of the cookies in with the black thinner icing.*
*Squeeze the half of the icing into a bowl then add 1 tsp of water to this and mix it in.
Leave the rest of the icing in the frosting bag for later use on the cookies.
Follow the Minnie’s picture as an outline.
Fill int bottom half of Minnie in pink (thinner icing) allow to dry to a few seconds before adding the white dots. Allow 30 seconds for this part to dry before moving one.
Outline a black bow on Minnie’s forehead, allow the 30 seconds to dry. Fill in the bow with pink icing then add the white dots.
Now you are going to use the black icing again to outline all of Minnie.
Allow these cookies to dry from 5-10 hours
Mickey & Minnie as Donald & Daisy Icing Directions
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl mixing on medium speed for 4 minutes. (except your food coloring)

Divide the rest into three bowls. In the first bowl add several drops of blue gel food coloring, stir to blend.
In the second bowl add several drops of purple gel food coloring, stirring to mix well.
In the third bowl the icing remains white.
Spoon each color of icing into individual frosting bags with a #5 tips. Twist the open end of the bag to push the icing to the tip.
Mickey as Donald
Using the picture of the Mickey as Donald as an outline.
Outline each of the Mickey cookies; ears, neck and bottom part in white. Allow to dry for about 30 seconds before filling in the cookie. Fill in the top and bottom of the cookies in with the white thinner icing.* Allow to dry for about 30 seconds.
*Squeeze the half of the white of the icing into a bowl then add 1 tsp of water to this and mix it in.
Leave the rest of the icing in the frosting bag for later use on the cookies.
Further following Mickey’s picture as an outline, draw Mickey’s blue shirt on by outlining it in the blue royal icing.
Allow for the shirt outline to dry for 30 seconds.
*Squeeze the half of the blue of the icing into a bowl then add 1 tsp of water to this and mix it in.
Leave the rest of the icing in the frosting bag for later use on the cookies.
Outline Mickey/Donald’s tie in red icing then after a brief time fill it in with the red thinner *icing. – *Squeeze the half of the red of the icing into a bowl then add 1 tsp of water to this and mix it in.
Leave the rest of the icing in the frosting bag for later use on the cookies.
Add the yellow V-neck on the shirt with the yellow icing.
Outline the entire cookie with the black thicker icing.
Let cookies dry from 5-10 hours
Minnie as Daisy
Using the picture of the Minnie as Daisy as an outline.
Outline each of the Minnie’s cookies; ears, neck and bottom part in white. Allow to dry for about 30 seconds before filling in the cookie. Fill in the top and bottom of the cookies in with the white thinner icing.*
*Squeeze the half of the white of the icing into a bowl then add 1 tsp of water to this and mix it in.
Leave the rest of the icing in the frosting bag for later use on the cookies. Allow to dry for about 30 seconds.
Follow the Minnie’s picture as an outline.
Outline the middle section and the bow of Minnie in purple icing. Allow several seconds for the outlining to dry.
*Squeeze the half of the purple of the icing into a bowl then add 1 tsp of water to this and mix it in.
Leave the rest of the icing in the frosting bag for later use on the cookies.
Fill in the middle section and bow with the thinner icing.
Outline all of Minnie again the black icing.
Let cookies dry from 5-10 hours
